SUSTAINABILITY AND ECOLOGY
The production of instant coffee is an energy-intensive process. We have therefore made it our aim to utilise the natural raw material that is the coffee bean as well as possible, and to use the required resources as economically and effectively as is technically feasible and economically responsible. We want to preserve the environment for the next generations, and to fight climate change and other negative consequences. The production of liquid coffee is possible using the energy that is inherent in the spent coffee grounds that result from the manufacturing process. We take this energy and are able to dispense with other fuels. DEK Berlin is also increasingly using sustainable and certified coffee varieties, and offers a range of certified products such as FAIRTRADE, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ, ORGANIC and KOSHER.
